Hooley Residents Association
Making Hooley a Better Place to Live
Welcome
Hello and a big welcome to our Hooley Residents Association website, we hope you find it interesting and helpful!
Hooley is described as a village in the borough of Reigate and Banstead in Surrey and until the early 20th century, was a sparsely inhabited hamlet of Chipstead. It now has a population of around 1,200
Within its small grid of streets is the 13th-century church of Chipstead which has been, since time immemorial, its ecclesiastical parish.
Hooley is connected via paths and the A23 road to the larger community of Coulsdon, to the north, in the London Borough of Croydon and Redhill to the south in Reigate and Banstead.
In addition to the A23, Hooley has main railway lines from London to Brighton running through and has a diverse and vibrant community who, can enjoy short journeys to the Surrey countryside, to the heart of our capital or, nationwide with easy access to junction 7 of the M25 motorway.
The Residents Association strives to make ‘Hooley a Better Place to Live’ and are well known by both our ward and county councillors and many others in various Government agencies!
Our aims are to ensure our voice is heard when plans or, anything else is considered, by others who, may be seeking to make changes to our village or, local environment. We also try to make improvements to Hooley by raising funds and investing in items for the benefit of residents and visitors alike and we try to make sure we receive the basic services we, as a community, are entitled to!
So, if you are a resident of Hooley and would like to get your voice heard, are willing to give up a very little bit of your time to help your community and make ‘Hooley a Better Place to Live’, why not come and join us!
