  • Following a recent meeting with representatives from National Highways National Highways – National Highways Connect Plus Connect Plus | M25 Operation & Management Services and Surrey County Council Highways Information Team – Surrey County Council the following information was shared: National Highways: From mid February 2025, new road signs and road markings will be installed through Hooley on the A23 Brighton Road showing a new speed limit of 30 mph (from 40 mph).   • Surrey County Council are once again looking for volunteers to support our Community Tree planting volunteer days this winter. We are planting 20 trees, and 280 saplings as hedgerows on the green at Church Lane Drive (CR5 3RG) next Tuesday January 14th at 10am, and we would love some support to plant.  The session should be completed within 3 hours (but could be quicker if we have a good volunteer turnout).
