From 12 noon at St Margarets Road/Maple Way next to the Village Hall, Nelson’s Bar and the Children’s Playground, Hooley!
Thank you for booking tickets to our ‘free of charge’ community street party! The ‘party’ will start at 12noon. It is important that you bring your tickets with you! On production of your ticket, you will receive a wristband which, will entitle your children to the free attractions, the tea party and ice-cream van, the BBQ for adults and the raffle.
The Best Queen and Best King fancy dress will be judged at around 1pm, when the children will be presented with a souvenir of the day. The street ‘tea’ party for the children and our very senior citzens will start around 1.30pm followed by the attractions and getting to know your community!
At around 4pm the awards for the best fancy dressed Queen and King will be awarded, followed by the FREE raffle (bring your tickets!!). The event will then start to draw to an end with the children using up the last of their energy! on the pinata’s and the band ‘Phoenix’ in Nelson’s bar from 5pm!
Please note: No dogs please, unless assistance dogs. No glass of any description please. The bar will be cash only as, will ice creams for the adults.
If you can help by making sandwiches, please join others in the village hall at 8am on Friday 3rd and if you have baked cakes, please deliver to the village hall from 8am.
We also need help setting up and other tasks on Thursday 2nd from 4pm and help on the day from 8am to assist with the set-up, and the actual event from 12 noon. We will of course also, need some help from 8am on Saturday 4th to help clear up! ‘More hands make less work’ so, please get involved and help out and do your bit to make this day a great success!
Please also note, throughout the event, we will be inviting donations from you, to go towards a community defibrillator for Hooley. This will be sited on or, near the village hall so, please look out for the bright yellow buckets and give what you can.
We have extended the invitation to Netherne residents and look forward to meeting you all at the event.
